When you need a little extra brain power to get through a busy day (AKA every day), a healthy snack makes all the difference. We asked Dr. Neela to share her favorite snack for packed days in the clinic. When she can only grab a bite to eat in between patients, she prepares The Girl Who Ate Everything‘s energy balls prior to the work day – they include protein, fiber, and a little chocolate. Ingredients
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
